Using augmented reality to help newly accepted students celebrate and prepare for their futures.

Founded in 1890, Columbia College Chicago is an independent, non-profit liberal arts college specializing in arts and media disciplines, with more than 8,000 students pursuing degrees in more than 100 undergraduate and 15 graduate degree programs.

The design of the new student Acceptance Packet celebrates students’ admission, while easing their minds about what comes next. Students are invited to explore the vast program options, campus offerings and more through integrated print and digital technology.

For college students, the reality of acceptance can be simultaneously exciting and nerve-wracking. We focused on celebrating and affirming their admission, and on easing their minds about what might come next.

We integrated an application for digitally activating print pages into the collateral piece, creating a multi-media experience for students about to embark on an exciting and rewarding journey.

The objective: to celebrate and affirm admission, ease minds, and reduce stress.
