Ferno

Reestablishing a legacy.

Ferno invented the pre-hospital emergency medical solution industry in the 1950s, setting the global standard for safety, reliability, and design. Decades later, however, larger rivals had overtaken the category it created. With the launch of its next-generation Power X2 ambulance cot and Power F2 fastening system, Ferno saw a perfect opportunity to reassert itself — partnering with Multiple to create a go-to-market strategy that brought its powerful, collaborative, and authentic story to life.

Research / Positioning

Multiple began by fully immersing itself in the client’s world. This included onsite plant visits, product demonstrations, and interviews with key stakeholders across leadership, global marketing, and sales teams. We also gathered customer insights through surveys and both qualitative and quantitative research, while evaluating the competitive landscape and observing the brand’s presence at major industry conferences. These efforts provided a comprehensive understanding of the market and informed our strategic direction.

Multiple was able to create positioning and messaging that showcased Ferno’s strengths in safety, reliability, and user-focused design, directly addressing customer needs for efficient, ergonomic, and trustworthy EMS solutions. The result was a cohesive strategy that guided both internal teams and external communications with clarity and consistency.

Launch Campaign

Multiple produced targeted pre-launch and launch campaigns for the EMS World Expo. The narrative spotlighted both product innovation and Ferno’s mission-driven partnership with EMS professionals.

The campaign reflected the evolution of the company and its products, emphasizing innovation, reliability, and quality. The tone remained authentic, collaborative, personal, and smart, while visuals focused on people, process, and product — creating a unified, human, and forward-looking campaign.

“They listen. And, that’s allowed us to be able to focus on the other areas of the organization, the other areas of the job, the actual responses and the medical side of it.”
