Council on Vertical Urbanism: Reframing the future of rising cities
What began as a conference collaboration evolved into a comprehensive transformation for the Council on Vertical Urbanism — formerly the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Working closely with leadership, members, and stakeholders across a global network of architects, engineers, planners, developers, and urban thinkers, Multiple helped shape a new identity and digital foundation aligned with an expanded mission: advancing the future of cities through vertical urbanism.
Featuring a conversation with Charles Mutscheller, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Council on Vertical Urbanism, Kelly Komp, Partner and Creative Director, and Ryan Kindinger, Associate Creative Director at Multiple, this video explores the ideas, collaboration, and strategic decisions behind the Council on Vertical Urbanism’s transformation — from a new organizational position and identity to a digital platform built to support its expanding global mission.
At the center of the engagement was a larger cultural and urban conversation. As cities continue to grow denser and more interconnected, the focus shifts beyond individual skyscrapers toward the systems, infrastructure, sustainability, and human experiences that shape urban life. The resulting brand and website establish a broader platform for dialogue, research, events, and advocacy on the future of rising cities.
