Asta Art Tour Visits Multiple

Traveling muralist and artist Lauren Asta made a stop by Multiple Chicago to create a hand-painted mural in our office.

Our team met the amazing Lauren Asta while she was working on a large scale outdoor mural in Chicago’s West Loop/Fulton Market District. Like many others, we were drawn in by her work, her story, and candor. A native of California, Lauren is quickly making her way across the country with her freehand commissioned interior and exterior projects. She had already completed murals for Soho House Chicago, Threadless, and variety of others and we inquired about getting into our space to work her magic on the entry walls in our offices. We also asked her about her willingness to present at our annual Cusp Conference in Chicago in the fall. Watch Lauren Asta’s Cusp 2016 presentation.

After a brief stop at our offices and a variety of other locations around Chicago, our team got the opportunity to interact with Lauren and her Fulton Market District/West Loop/CTA Morgan stop mural one more time. We participated in the Between the Lines event, a celebration of Lauren’s artwork. The public was invited to paint and color the Fulton Market District/West Loop/CTA Morgan stop mural before the property was to be torn down and redeveloped.
