West Central Association / Civic Banner System

A visual voice for a neighborhood with character.

The West Central Association (WCA) supports business and community development across Chicago’s West Loop, Fulton Market, and surrounding neighborhoods. Multiple developed a civic banner system that turns neighborhood streets into opportunities to celebrate local character, strengthen community identity, and recognize the businesses driving the area’s growth. Through bold typography, expressive messaging, and a cohesive visual language, the system creates a recognizable presence that reflects each neighborhood’s energy and individuality.

A flexible design system brings consistency to neighborhood messaging and sponsor recognition, with a clear visual hierarchy that ensures legibility at street level while letting each neighborhood’s distinct personality come through.
