The X Quarterly is a business communication-focused publication designed, written and produced by Multiple, a strategic design firm in Chicago, IL.

The X Quarterly’s “Fun” issue explores the idea of what it means to have fun. The cover, greets you with a timeless comedy trope in the form of a banner peel, and its contents are printed on Mohawk Superfine Smooth. As you turn the oversized pages to reveal facts, figures and photography all associated with or exploring the idea of fun, you notice the lush tactility of the paper.

With a reputation of quality, consistency and uniformity, Mohawk Superfine provided consistency on both felt and wire sides of the sheet throughout the run, allowing for crossovers and color consistency to be no just fine, but as close to perfect as fine paper gets — taking this piece from simply good to truly great.

Multiple tested a variety of sheets during the process of producing this issue of the X Quarterly, but arrived at Mohawk Superfine for the way it accentuated the publication’s design elements.
